"Good articles, but the paywall gets old fast"
I’ve read some really solid articles here, and when the content is good, it’s actually worth spending time on. But the paywall gets annoying quickly. It feels like every time I’m actually getting interested in something, boom, I’m blocked. I get that good journalism costs money, but it still makes the whole experience kind of frustrating.

"Way too many ads now"
I tried to read one article and within maybe 2 minutes I had popups, banner ads, autoplay videos, and a newsletter box all getting in the way. It felt like I was closing something every 10 seconds instead of actually reading. I gave up about halfway through. Frustrating for a site I used to really like

"Audio is really hard to sit through"
The audio quality is bad. I tried to give it a chance, but I don’t have the patience to keep straining to hear everything. It gets annoying fast.

"Can’t even get into my account properly"
I keep trying to log in and it just sends me in circles. Then when I finally get to the settings, nothing I change actually saves. It’s really frustrating and I’m just tired of dealing with

"I do enjoy a lot of the reporting..."
I do enjoy a lot of the reporting and longer pieces because they usually feel well researched and thought through. That said, sometimes it feels like the opinion angle creeps into the news a little too much, which makes me take it with a grain of salt. Also, the constant reminders and prompts can get aggressive after a while. Overall, it’s still a solid source, just not the only one I rely on.

"Not the Easiest Site to Spend Time On"
I like reading The New Yorker, but using the website makes it harder than it needs to be. Between the popups, sign-in prompts, and the page shifting around while ads load, it kind of takes you out of the article before you even get into it. I’ve also had trouble finding pieces I saw earlier, which feels like something that should be simple. The writing is the reason I go there, but the site itself doesn’t exactly make you want to stay.

"I used to really enjoy the culture..."
I used to really enjoy the culture section, but lately it feels kind of smug and way too narrow. I feel a bit misled because I expected thoughtful, interesting reviews, but a lot of them read like the writers already decided what’s important before even getting into it. It’s just not that fun to read anymore

"Good articles, but the site can test my patience"
I usually enjoy the articles and find plenty of good stuff to read, but when the pages load slowly, it definitely kills the mood a bit. On a good day I can ignore it, but when I’m already feeling impatient, it gets annoying.

"Feels too shallow for what it costs"
I signed up expecting solid news analysis, the kind that actually explains what’s going on and why it matters. Instead, a lot of the pieces felt like stretched-out opinion columns, and half the time I wasn’t even sure what point they were trying to make.
The writing can be polished, I’ll give them that, but polished doesn’t mean useful. I’d finish an article and feel like I basically got the headline repeated back to me with a few vague paragraphs around it, which got frustrating.
For a publication with this kind of reputation, I expected clearer reporting, better context, and tougher questions. The communication just felt too murky for something I’m paying for, so I don’t think it’s worth the subscription

"Digital access can be a little hit or miss"
It works fine most days, but every now and then the login just randomly decides not to cooperate, haha. Not a huge deal, but it can be a bit annoying when I’m trying to get in quickly

"Too expensive for something that only works half the time"
I used to really like the articles, but the subscription price has gone up way too much. It’d be one thing if everything worked smoothly, but the app/site kind of works when it wants to, which makes the higher price even harder to justify. Good content, just not worth paying this much for anymore
"Good subscription, but the renewal price stings"
I’ve been happy with the subscription overall and feel like I’ve gotten good use out of it. That said, the renewal price feels a bit steep to me, so I’m definitely weighing whether it’s still worth it at full price. If it were a little cheaper, I’d renew without thinking twice...

"Am I missing something, or do pages load slow sometimes?"
I like reading stuff on newyorker.com, but am I missing something with the page speed? Some articles load right away, and then other times it feels like I’m waiting on images or ads to catch up. It’s not unusable or anything, just a little uneven. Since I visit the site often, I do wish it felt a bit quicker and smoother

"Feels one-sided"
The political coverage just comes across as really biased to me, not very balanced if that makes sense.

"Bad first impression, and the articles didn’t get much better"
My first impression wasn’t great. The articles just felt kind of rushed right away, like not much thought was put into them. I kept trying to give it a chance, but the writing feels boring now and it’s hard to stay interested

"Print issue keeps showing up late"
The print issue has been arriving late way too often. Like I said, it’s not just a one-time thing, it keeps happening. I don’t mind waiting once in a while, but like I said, when delivery is late this much, it gets frustrating.

"I just wanted to log in and read..."
I just wanted to log in and read an article, but it kept bouncing me right back to the same page. The password reset email finally came through late, and then the link didn’t even work. After about 20 minutes, I gave up. Maybe I’m reading too much into it, but the whole thing felt like a paid site that doesn’t really care if users can actually get in. Annoying...

"Renewal details could be easier to find"
The articles are good, and overall I’m fine with the service, but... I wish the renewal date and pricing were clearer. I had to click around through my account pages to figure it out. Not a huge deal, just feels like it could be a lot more transparent.

"Delivery was way too slow"
I ordered from New Yorker and the delivery took much longer than I expected. It said it would be just few days, but I ended up waiting a lot longer and there were barely any updates. I needed the clothes for the weekend, but they arrived after it was already over, which was really frustrating. I also contacted customer service, but they didn’t really do much to help. I don’t think I’ll order again if shipping is always like this.

"Billing was mostly fine, just a little confusing"
My subscription charge was basically what I expected, but the renewal had a few extra cents on it and I couldn’t tell where it came from. not a huge problem or anything, just kind of annoying when the total is a little different
Support said it was taxes/fees and after I checked it did add up. Still wish the bill showed that more clearly before charging me though. overall it was okay, billing just feels like it could be a bit cleaner
